Hi
Back in 1997 we did not really think that the Ecoballs would be the success that they are today. We knew they would be popular but to be distributing them 10 years on with year-on-year increases in sales is very impressive. We first heard of similar versions on the market in the US and we were immediately interested in the environmental benefits as, the money saving benefits were an added bonus. They were very exciting days in the beginning as we did not know how the UK public would take to such a product. We found that customers were also purchasing for health benefits, many had become allergic to soap powder and developed Eczema. Those that did suffer from Eczema found that their condition cleared up after using the Ecoballs.. While we cannot make any claims that the Ecoballs. help with Eczema we do have their testimonials on file.
It is very satisfying when a consumer calls us direct to say that they have had their Ecoballs. for 5 years and that they have been pleased with every wash. Over the years the Ecoballs. have certainly saved many people a lot of money and have helped to reduce the amount of harsh chemicals from entering the water system. It is hardy surprising that the Ecoballs. were voted one of the Ten Best Green Household Products by The Independent January 2005.
At Ecozone we firmly believe there is a huge opportunity for Health Food shops to exploit a market that is yet to be discovered by the retail giants. This is the market of eco products and gadgets that have only otherwise been available from small fringe mail-order catalogues. As consumers are becoming more ecoaware so is their demand for eco products/gadgets etc. Presently, there is not a chain of shops that specialises in just eco products/gadgets or solar. We believe that Health Food shops are uniquely positioned in the marketplace to take advantage of this gap and take into stock products that they may have otherwise considered not to be part of their range. Products like the Dryerballs or the BioBulb which is both a daylight bulb and an energy saving bulb. Why should a consumer have to go to a B&Q to find an energy saving bulb when a suitable bulb can be found at a Health Food store? The Health Food store should be the first place people think of going.

P.s We have received some positive feed back on our new product the MagnoFuel, which does appear to save up to 15% off fuel bills. Just imagine if every car in the country had a MagnoFuel fitted that would result in up to 15% fuel saving for the whole country, which equals less pollution and less fuel tax (just don.t tell the Chancellor)!
