BEANIE'S HEALTH FOODS IS AN ETHICALLY MINDED, VEGAN BUSINESS RUN BY FATHER AND DAUGHTER TEAM, PATRICK AND LISA DRUMMY.

Starting as a small health food shop in 1999 in Fareham, Beanie's have since specialised in importing and distributing top quality frozen foods from around the world. Since Beanie's humble beginnings were on the high street, Pat and Lisa strongly support the independent health food market and do not supply any of their products to supermarkets. Approved by The Vegetarian and The Vegan Society, Beanie's ethos is to make veganism easily accessible to everyone by sourcing the best, ethically produced, animal friendly foods that the market has to offer! In doing so, Beanie's hope to promote personal well-being and protect the health of our planet (it's now well documented that following a vegan diet greatly reduces an individual's carbon footprint!)

With the support of their team of family volutneers, Pat and Lisa work tirelessly to promote their products at veggie shows around the country where they sample their ranges with the public - free tastings are the best form of marketing! Beanie's brands include FRY'S Vegetarian Foods, B'NICE Rice Creams and ALICER'S Veggies. Approved by the Vegan Society, these 3 frozen ranges are totally free from meat, eggs, dairy products, GMO, hydrogenated fats, nuts, cholesterol, sulphites, artificial colourings, flavours and preservatives.

The FRY'nge consists of 13 products: Traditional Sausages, Hot Dogs, Nuggets, Traditional Burgers, Spiced Burgers, Polony, Schnitzels, Braai (Country Herb) Sausages, Cutlets, Chunky Strips and Mince. There are two new additions to the FRY'S range - "Veg Express" Sausage Rolls and Cottage Pies. Every single ingredient used in FRY'S products is obtained from guaranteed non-genetically modified, sustainable sources which is why the range is recommended as a BEST BUY by The Ethical Consumer magazine. FRY'S have an excellent "ethiscore" of 16/20 which makes them the most highly rated frozen, vegan, meat replacement products on the UK market!

B'NICE are rice based ice desserts (Rice Creams!) which are currently available in 3 flavours - Strawberry (made with genuine strawberry puree), Vanilla (made with natural Madagascan vanilla) and Chocolate (with rich Belgian chocolate!) In The Vegan Society Awards 2007, B'NICE was recently awarded the accolade of BEST FOOD PRODUCT. B'NICE also won the BEST NON-DAIRY FOOD PRODUCT category in Peta's Proggy Awards 2007. B'NICE Vanilla and Strawberry Rice Creams are free from soya (B'NICE chocolate variety contains a tiny amount of soya lecithin in the Belgian chocolate used to flavour it.) All three B'NICE flavours are naturally gluten, wheat and nut free and they contain no artificial sweeteners.

ALICER'S Veggies are gluten and wheat free vegan burgers. There are currently 4 varieties in the ALICER range. The Tandoori burger is flavoured with a massala mix of herbs and spices - they have a distinctive flame red colour due to the inclusion of natural beetroot extract. The Thai burger is delicately flavoured using galangal, lemon myrtle and coconut which gives them a subtle oriental taste. The Mexican burger contains corn, green and red peppers and chilli in a blend that creates an authentic South American flavour. The Vegetable burger is made with carrots, leeks, onions and celery - real, bone fide veggie burger!
