This ancient Chinese Tree has been used in the East for centuries. It is the only representative of the Ginkgoaceae family of trees left - the others being extinct. The leaves have a characteristic shape (biloba means two lobes) and it is this part of the tree which is used in the Ginkgo biloba tincture.
